Color Field Painting: Leah Wilson

Layers of Paint! Each painting has between 30 – 40+ layers of distinct and often vibrant color. Layers that do not cover the painting completely, instead the layers act like frames & windows – giving the viewing a glimpse of what sits underneath. Representing tonal vibrations, particulate concepts in relation to our solid world. It is the hope to inspire a feeling of connectability between all relationships we experience in this world.

By using abstract form – inviting the viewer to see between the layers of color – by “smashing” colors that vibrate & pop -tricking the eye by giving depth in perspective, this is my life’s work as an artist & painting – to reflect and project.
