Ever since I was very young, and spending long hours drawing, this wonderful event often occurs. As though in a meditation where perception can be clear, focused, the mind is still. At times my mind will suddenly observe how tightly I would hold the pen, my hand moving along the paper as though it has a life of its own. To critique my earlier drawings some would say they were flat, abstract, and often dreamlike or whimsical. This is “Responsibility” 26″x 32″. A fun commission for I was only given the title to work from.
Once in my early career as an illustrator I took it on as a personal project to design an entire taro deck, school, commissions, and my own evolving style made the project incomplete. Though drawing the few pieces I did were exceptional enjoyable. This is one my favorite drawings: Ace of Discs (featuring the Dragonacorn”) size: 28″x 36″

Ever since I could hold a pen, symbols have intrigued and inspired my creative mind. Drawing mandalas has been an exploration of intuitive symbol exploration, and rekindling that love for free hand pen and ink drawing.
